ENG / Ako Šafránu / A pinch of saffron – is a podcast that sheds light on a group of people that are very rare and unknown in Slovakia, yet are the subject of frequent and harsh debates. We look at the ordinary lives of Muslims living in Slovakia, how they work, study, shop, cope with the pandemic and worship. In an attempt to battle misinformation, myths and xenophobia we also speak to experts about the basics of Islam, its pillars, practice and teachings.

This podcast is the initiative of the NGO Mareena and is distributed (apart from the standard podcasting platforms) by the popular Slovak daily SME on their Sme Výber channel.
