In 1989, just before the Velvet revolution, Joan Baez, a folk legend, peacenik and fighter for social change, performed in Bratislava. It was no ordinary concert and when things turned dramatic she felt “electricity in the air”. The concert was called the last drop before the cup flowed over for the Communists. 25 years later Joan Baez returns to a very different Bratislava, as she explains in an exclusive interview.
